Radio picks up signal on all FM stations but doesn't get AM very well. Anybody else hear that?

 

My '08 V70 had that problem but it was repaired under warranty.

 

Very common problem on first generation S60's/80's. Thought they had it fixed by '08 but it's little things like that that keep so many Volvo forums going!

First, head on down to your friendly Volvo dealer. Ask him for the little brass strip for the antenna problem. He should have a few hundred on hand.

it's actually one I started when I did mine but since it was the first one to come up when I googles it I couldn't resist posting the link. It's a very easy repair.

All that being said, after a handfull of Volvos, I find their AM radios a bit subpar. i listen to a lot of AM talk shows and I have yet to have one that seemed as good as my other cars. This strip WILL make it quite usable however.
