hi -- i'm new so please forgive me if i am posting in the wrong spot. just tell me where it should go and i'll move it stat.

radio silence: code in, everything is on now, but no sound at all. radio display works so that's a step.

cig lighter doesn't work, but since display is fine i can't imagine it's a fuse. i'm not super good at these things but does anyone have any thoughts?

and...can i change the sunroof from power to crank? i'm afraid it's going to give out at some point. while it's open.

It sounds like the amp is not getting power. Being the cig lighter is not getting power, you probably have a blow fuse.

I know what it is like to get burned by a garage. I got burned when I was 17 and have been doing all the work on my cars since then.

 

i wish i had been so smart at 17...now i will though. and thank you again, i feel better knowing i'm not tge only obe ever to get burned

 

Also check the plugs in the back of radio, there's one that goes to all the speakers and makes them work, the radio is very easy to remove, two tabs on opposite sides that you push in, once they pop out just pull gently ( easier if you put the car in neutral so the shift **** is not in the way)

 

That would be cool old school kick back if you can convert the sunroof from electric to crank, you would probally have to rebuild the machanics of it. I really do not think there is a easy way to change that to crank......and good luck with your radio. My car is having a similar issue, I was also pointed towards the amp. Is there a fuze for the amp?
