How do I silence the seat belt flasher?

How do I get the "Lights on" warning to sound, My V70 does not run with the lights on all the time!

Is it beeping or just flashing?
If you latch the seatbelt it should stop.

IM not sure what you mean in your second ?

 

Hi Tech,
The lights flash but makes a clicking noise, I do a fair bit of running about in and out of the car with the engine running and its just annoying.

The Light switch for side and main lights does not have a buzzer to say you have left the lights on when you remove the ignition key on leaving the car. The car is a german spec one.
I dont know if this is a design feaure or a duff relay, if duff which relay?

The only time the lights will stay on with the car off is if the switch is in the middle.

You can leave in in the on position and they will turn off with the key.

They only thing I can think of to stop the clicking your be buy one of the adapters to extend the seatbelt and leave it plugged into the socket.

 

Regarding the lights, is there meant to be a sounder when you leave the lights on in the middle position?

Regarding the Seatbelt extender, I am not comfortable with that, sounds like more hassle not less. looks like I need to read the drawings!

No it will not beep if left on.

Then ther will be no way to silence it.I believe it is all controlled by the computers.
