Default Reupholstering (releathering?) a back set

I have a 2004 S60 that just crested 90,000 miles. Runs great but my dog has pretty much destroyed the back seat. Completely my fault - and I now have a tough seat cover in place.

The leather is gouged and ripped and you can see foam in lots of places. It needs to be completely recovered I assume.

Anyone know what this would cost or what the best approach is/where to look for service?

I can ask my dealer but I'm sure they'll be the most expensive option...

Thanks!

Well, the car isn't too old, so colour matching shouldn't be TOO difficult. Having said though, manufacturers do tend to specify custom colours a fair but, they're ordering hides by the hundreds, they can do that.
Your best bet is going to be to find a few local automotive upholsterers and get some quotes. Removing and re fitting the seat yourself will save some labour, but you can leave the seat in whilst you drive around for quotes.
Being a rear seat, it will be a little cheaper, easier to work with on the bench. Also, you'll only really need to have the "tops" replaced, they should be able to use the borders (bits around the sides) etc.
As for price, I haven't bought a hide in ages. Say 3-4 hours labour and one large hide.
Could be anywhere from $500-700, depending on labour and how much a hide costs these days.

Rear seats get little use generally so a bit of sleuthing in a few junk - I mean 'salvage' - yards should yield an excellent seat at considerable savings. On-line "dismantelers" are a possibility but freight may be high.

As an aside- please use a good car harness for your dog. Car seats are made for humans and offer absolutely NO support for a dog. Other than their claws there is nothing to prevent them from flopping unrestrained in a car. not only are they a hazard to front seat passengers but the risk of leg or back injury is very great.
