Have a 2019 XC40 - I want to replace brakes & rotors. I am not sure how to find the rotor size before I order (in mm) as there are several sizes.
Help

 

a couple choices of what to do 1) check the existing rotors for stampings on the outer rim that would show the size 2) measure what you have - the sizes are different enough so you should get a best guess 3) shop or call a dealer store with your VIN - example:

I called the dealer gave them the VIN. They say we have (for 2019 XC40 T5 Momentum) we have 17 inch rotors. I ordered them, Tried to put these on and they appear to be too big (exisitng ones are smaller). I called dealer back and they gave me the same measurements. I'm confused?? They say I need Volvo part 32300122 for front rotors - these are same that did not fit.
When they say these are 17 inch rotors - what measurement is that - the diameter of the rotor or circumference or what??

Any help greatly appreciated.

the 16/17/18inch refers to your wheels/brake package I believe, but I could be wrong. Your rotors will be in diameter given in millimeters. 296/322/345 respectively . Like mt6127 said, the existing size should be stamped on the rotor.

31471414 for 16inch
32300122 for 17inch
31471752 for 18inch

 

seach the board for a recent related thread which offered a clue as to your size based on the caliper/pad clip design. Post up if that hack works for you.

 

OK - well the all say I have the 17 inch package - I received the 345 mm package (18 inch) which I thought was correct.
I presume back rotor /pads are all the same for 2019 XC40 T5 Momentum??
