Hello: im wondering if the s 60 and s 80 are the same body with different motor trans and trim or are they two entirely different cars?

There is no 1999 S60. But the 1999-2006 S80 shares the same platform as the 2001-2009 S60.

 

Thank you for the reply and by sharing the same platform do you mean that body parts would be intterchangable?the reason i ask is there is a company that makes a subtle body kit for the s60 but they do not say s80 for fittment.

Anything after 2000. Basically the s60, s80 and V70. I want to say up to 2005 IPD USA a parts company I buy from and has some good informative videos. The refer to these as the P2 Chassis. Almost all the parts are interchangeable. If you look through their video's on youtube. You can probably narrow down which models and years interchange with one another. They are Volvo specialists.
