Hi everyone Im new to this site and am considering to purchase a used Volvo S60 2.0T or S80 2.0T arround 2002 year.

Between the two I prefer the S80 mainly due to it been slightly bigger. My problem is that after asking arround it seems that the S60 is a more reliable car with far less mechanical problems. I have also had mechanics warn me about volvo having problems with their gearboxes (something to dowithcooler fluid entering the oil panwhich turns out to be a very expensive fix.

I have my eye on a used S80 which was registered in 2002 but has a squarish 4spoke steering wheel is this a 2002 model.

I currently own a Landrover Discover ES for the past 8 years and I never thought I would be able to switch to a salloon car but aftertest driving a volvo S80 I found it to be extremely spacious and elegant executive car which stands out from what you usually see on the roads.

 

well you are better off with the s60. but neither of them have a 2.0t. the s60 will have a 2.4t 5 cyland the s80 will have a 2.9t 6 cyl. the 2.0 is a 4 cyl found in the earlier s40s
