i own a s60 t5 i bought the car from cheltenham was a lovely drive to london and then back to sheff but the roads in sheff are terrible so it knocks on the nearside badly from front n/s/f and rear n/s/r i have changed both front arms as they were bad but the noise is still there i hate it and want to sell the car i have a volvo technician who works for me and he has checked everything and said all looks fine even the link arms are new i am thinkin of replacing all the shockers or the shocker top bushes but will be devastated if noise is still there plz help,anyone,the noise is a horrible rattle and a rumble on bad roads only,on smooth roads is sweet asa nut,

also need a low mileage engine for a volvo v70 t5 t3 engine code,any help appreciated in both cases,

You may be on the right track with the upper spring seat or shocker top bushes (good beer), anyhow, if this indeed is a Volvo tech, then he knows the simple test with a 21mm.

 

Hi, Just purchased C70 with very simlar problems as yours, I have had both top mounts replaced, which helped a load with the ride, but still left me with a knock and vibration (sometimes) on nsf, have had it diagnosed as needing a nsf shock which I am having replaced this Thursday, will let you know how things work out.
