S80 battery idiot light & error mssg

S80 battery idiot light & error mssg

Today while out the battery idiot light on my '03 S80 (56k miles) came on with the associated message: El. System Service Required

Voltage regulator problem and should my local garage be able to fix it?

Should be an easy fix for a mechanic. HummerGuy did one for his S60 without any issues.
