Default idiot light questions

Hey guys I still havent got my 2001 S40 manual, and I have a few questions. Ever since my 99 Audi A4 I've been a worrier. I worry about everything. Audi's are very nice, but you almost have no peace of mind, worrying about what your next repair is gonna cost. And now that I have my S40 i find myself still worrying. So here's my question- Are there any warning lights in the dash that would warn me of oil pressure loss, and or engine problems other than a simple "Check Engine Light"?

Hey Tech,

Well I dont think there is something wrong, but Whenever I open the hood(Cold or Warm) the engine(1.9T) sounds a bit louder than what i'd expect i guess. I know it's not a Lex or any other japanese car and I know that the 1.9T has alot more action going on inside, but like i said that damn Audi turned me into a worrier. Also, I removed the oil cap with the engine running last night, and there was obvious oil pressure(Oil was jumping from the internal oil pressure). But please tell me that some engine noise is normal(fingers crossed) It doesn't have that ugly bad lifter noise, but is the engine okay? Or are 1.9T's supposed to be virtually quiet.

I see. Thanks. By the way I have 53,000 miles on the engine, and I plan on changing the timing belt at 60,000, but the thing I'm curious about is about transmission service. My 2001 1.9T is coupled with an automatic and I can't seem to find a tranny dip stick. Is the tranny sealed? And if it is When should I have it done to it? Thanks for the injector info.

There is a dipstick there somewhere it is just hard to find.
Volvo doesn't reccomend changing the fluid. But it is better to change it.
I would say at like 70,000 or 80,000.

Make sure when you do the timing belt you buy the tool to hold the cam pulleys.
Or when you remove the belt one might turn and throw the timing out.
