sensor p2097
Hi Guys,
I am new to all this.but I am looking for the location of the p2097 O2 sensor. Also is their any instructions on how to replace the sensor. A video or step by step instructions on how to replace the sensor. That would be great.

first question is, what year/model/engine is your car? a P2097 is a fuel trim code, which can be caused by an intake air leak, the MAF sensor or the upstream O2 sensor so before you drop $100 on the O2 sensor, start by inspecting all vacuum lines and intake air boots/tubes. You can use carb cleaner to spray around to see if anything sucks in or changes the idle to test for air leaks. Next consider cleaning the throttle body and MAF with some CRC MAF cleaner (not carb cleaners, which can damage the MAF) Finally if it turns out to be the O2 sensor, you need to go under the car and see where it screws into the downpipe or front side of the catalytic converter. You can also trace the wiring from a connector - usually up on the firewall down to the sensor.
