Service Reminder Light
I was planning to remove the bulb for the Service Reminder Light when I have the dash apart to replace the odometer gear on 1996 850 Turbo, but I read that doing so will set a "bulb out" light. Does anyone Know if this is true, or have tried this? Thanks.
You can turn off the light pretty easily with a code reader I believe. Have you local auto parts store connect to the car and erase all codes. I believe this will work. Link here.

Service reminder lamp must be reset with either a Scan Tool connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC), or connect a Volvo Reset Tool (J-42507) to the DLC and press the button on the tool to reset.

I plan to pull the bulb in our S70. If that wont work please let me know. I liked my '97 960 which had a little plug in the cluster glass that I could pull, reset the service reminder, then replug. EASY BUTTON.
Is this bulb in a removable holder, or twist into a printed circuit board? I haven't taken apart yet, so I'm not familiar with this car. If it's a holder, that would be nice. Hope someone out there has had one apart. Thanks
