steering to the right/clicking sound
Hi There.....I have a 2002 S80 and have just noticed a quiet..continuous clicking sound when I make right curve turns? Not sure if this is related, but my digital message center..where I get mileage reads etc,is intermittently on the fritz too? Any advise or direction would be much appreciated.
90% of the time it is the CV (constant velocity) joint that produces clicking noise at turns. I have not seen cv-joint itself as a repair kit and most places sell rebuilt entire axle.
I am not sure as to the problem on the LCD messages as I never dealt with the one on the S80. It may only be a poor electrical connections/processor or may need software upgrade. Post a thread in the S80 forum yet?
Many places only carry the boots kit only but I did manage to find one:

I have used partstrain.com once and their service was fair. If you like to do a research on your own:

Only one recall on 2002 S80:

Sorry I could not help you better.
