Stereo not working--- etc.
Hello! So- Started having issues with 3rd brake light not working in my 2007 XC70. Tore into the trunk lid harness & found about 7 wires either broken completely or about to break so I spliced them back together as best I could & taped it all up. Tested the 3rd brake light & it was working. Not being sure what else may be involved in that harness just checked the necessities- like lights - & called it good. Fast forward to the next time I drove. I hopped into the car & started going down the road- Tried to turn the stereo on & nothing at all. Later on I went to park in a spot where the back-up assist always goes off & nothing. These 2 things may not be connected but just happened to show themselves at the same time? I will add that the day after that the car was completely frozen when I tried to open the doors. Wasn't going anywhere so wasn't a big deal, but the next day when I went outside I noticed that 2 of the doors had popped open in the night. Could that have something to do with the radio issue?? I have checked all fuses & they are fine. Anyway, thanks for any insights!!
