My 2002 S60 2.4 Turbo started doing the strangest thing last week and I'm looking for suggestions.
When I turn the ignition key on or off the trunk unlatches. If I unlock my car with the remote (which works fine) I get in the car and turn the key I hear the trunk pop open. I get out and shut it. Then when I stop and turn the car off the trunk pops open again. Weird huh?
It only does it about 50-60% of the time right now and if I turn the valet trunk lock on it doesn't do it at all. I've tried turning the car on without the remote attached to the key. It still did it.

Everything else electrically on the vehicle works fine except the power driver seat only works sometimes and if it does it's before I turn the car on. I can't imagine that having anything to do with the trunk poping open but at this point I'm stumped.

 

I'm stumped. Never heard that one before. Do you have any ghost? I heard that you can fit 3 people in those trunks (line from Analize This).

 

Ur key will open the trunk, i unhook the battery all they time and lock the trunk...u can jump the car from the front, look at the big red plastic thing, flip that, put ur positive on tht and negative on strut tower. dont see how ur trunck isint opening with the key... u turning it the right way?
