Default Stuck Rear Brake Disc 2006 S60

Hey Guys, thought I was gonna do a quick in-and-out pad replacement, but found rear disc thickness right at the minimum. Went to take it off - did all of the things about releasing the emergency brake cable - and then spent next two hours beating it with a mallet. The disc spins free so Emerg. Brake not holding it, but it won't budge in the axial direction. Gave up at midnight and 30 degrees in the driveway.

Any tricks before I get out the grinder?

If the parking brake is adjusted as loose as it will go, try a bigger hammer. And plan on buying parking brake shoes and hardware.

Appreciate the tip. I watched a video on this. The secret is a) install one lug nut finger tight to keep the disk from getting cocked as it comes off, then b) use a sledge hammer and c) don't try to hit the disc in the "off" direction from behind...rather hit it square on the face in the "on" direction several places and maybe in the radial direction around the rim of the hub. About 5 good clangs with the sledge and it fell right off.
