My mother has a 2005 Volvo V70 wagon. The upholstery fabric has been hanging, getting in the way. We found someone to fix the fabric, but apparently the sunroof needs to open to fix it. She doesn’t remember ever opening the sunroof and it is costly to get it diagnosed, let alone repair it, just to fix the fabric. Is there a way to repair the upholstery without opening the sunroof?

 

Not really. Have you tried opening the sunroof? It may be OK.

 

Does the alarm work? Oddly enough, if the rechargeable batteries in the alarm go bad the sunroof won't open.
