Default T5 Chirping

Hi everyone!

I am at a loss. I have a 2008 Volvo C30 T5 with an automatic.

I purchased the car with a squeal which turned out to be the alternator. I replaced the alternator and all of the belts and enjoyed two days of squeak free driving until the bearing in the lower tensioner pulley failed. Replaced that with a whole new tensioner as you cannot just buy the pulley. 1 day later the belt starts chirping.

I have narrowed it down to the crank-a/c belt. I have tried reversing the belt with no change, but the noise goes away when I spray water on the belt. As mentioned before, the belt is brand new.

I am at a loss as to what it could be? Any ideas?

as a thought, you may get more views by posting to one of the model specific forums (where most "repair" views are). I think you have the right approach. Chirps are either caused by worn/loose belts or a bearing. The bearings can be in an idler or tensioner or can be in a component ie Alternator, AC compressor, power steering pump. Does the sound change when you introduce a load on a given device - ie when you crank the wheel to load up the PS pump? when you kick on the AC full cold? when you turn on the AC blower/high beams/rear defogger to load the alternator? Do you have any fluid leaks (cam seals etc) which could have wet the belt? Did you try listening with the belts off?
