chirping belt & cooling tube
On my '93 850, I recently noticed at idle the serpentine belt seems to be chirping in sync with a slight runout or wobble on the power steering pulley. Is there a belt dressing to use on it? If so, how would I get some on safely?
Also, the steel tube that runs across the firewall side of the engine under the exhaust manifold seems a bit corroded near the ends; do those fail? If so, please suggest how to remove it.
I also noticed a power assist line to the steering rack looks rusty. I wiped a little oil on it. Does the steering box need to come out to replace that?
As always, thanks for any help!
