Default Chirping in the fan

Hi everyone,

The ac/heater fan on my 2002 S60 T AWD is making a faint chirping noise when in runs. Any ideas? I can't tell at the higher speeds because the blower make too much noise. Could it be the blower motor resistor? Thanks in advance.

Can I replace that myself? If so, where can I look for parts?

I replaced mine fairly easily. It was right behind the glovebox. That was on a 99 V70 though, so I don't know how different yours is. Here's one place to buy the motor: http://www.eeuroparts.com/productdet...&code=8993- $188.90. Or FCP Groton, $189.00, http://www.fcpgroton.com/p2series/p2cooling.htm (Aftermarket at FCP Groton is $109)

My car is doing this right now as well, need to bring to dealer for my free blower motor.

Mine only does it when it is cold in the morning, or sometimes when I go around a corner fast(I live in MN).
