Default Turn Signal Bulb Failure Message, but bulb okay

I have a 2002 S60. Recently I've started having a problem with the turn signals. Often, when I turn on the right turn signal, the turn indicator in the dashboard is flashing faster than normal, and I get a message saying that the right turn signal bulb is gone. However, when I check the lights, all 3 turn signal lights (front, back and passenger door) are working okay, although flashing at an increased frequency. This problem doesn't happen everytime I use the turn signal. This problem also happens occasionally with the left turn signal, but it seems more rare with the left turn signal. Does anybody have an idea what the problem is, and how to fix it.

Do you have LED bulbs installed?
If not could be a bad connection in the turn sig switch, loose bulb or as FCP said a flasher relay..
