Question Turn signal failure

Hi all, I have a 2001 V40 with intermittent turn signal failure. For the last week or so, the signals wouldn't work occasionally but would return the next time I started the engine. Today they won't work at all. I checked the fuse and the other lights using the same fuse. Only the indicators on my dashboard and the lights themselves are affected. I plan to take it in to a local repair place, but I'd appreciate any suggestions for repairs that I could do myself to save a buck or two. Thanks.

Default indicator problem

I had a similar problem and was told that it was a faulty emergency (hazard warning) light switch. They told me that everything goes through that and if it had problems it would affect the indicators. They swapped it out about a month ago and I have had no problems since. Of course yours ould be a different problem.

Default

I tried turning the hazard light on and back off. My turn signals have worked fine ever since.
