Which tyres ?
I have just purchased a 1999 v 70 AWD.
Can anyone tell me if it is necessary for all 4 tyres to be the same make, and suggestions for types of all weather tyres would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Yes. You have a mechanical AWD system so it is very important that the tires are the same circumference. Same size tires do not always have the same circumference so it is important that this dimension is consistent. As the tires wear, they need to wear at the same rate so I would encourage you to get the same brand / size / speed rating etc. As for a tire brand suggestion, you would need to let us know whether you want bias towards longevity, grip etc. Are you in a situation where snow tires would be used and if so you could get a little better 'summer' tire for performance. Otherwise, you'll have to compromise on 'all weather' performance.
Thanks for the reply.
I rarely encounter snow living in Manchester. However we spend a lot of time on the West coast of Scotland and the Hebrides and regularly encounter heavy rain.
Any make type of tyre to tackle these situations would be appreciated.
