V90 retractable towbar issue....
Got my v90 cross country (2017) back from the dealer yesterday, it was in to get a bleeder hose on the coolant tank replaced after it snapped clean off.
Drove home immediately and when I started it this afternoon, a bunch of warnings came up -
BLIS system off - trailer attached
Trailer light malfunction
Trailer turn indicator - Left indicator malfunction
Trailer turn indicator - Right Indicator malfunction
I checked the retractable tow bar (main dealer fitted when I bought the car) and the light on the switch wasnt on and it wouldnt pop out when pressing the button.
I suspect all the warnings stem from this.
Now this is either an enormous coincidence to happen the day after getting the car back, or something they did when repairing the car is the cause.
I'm thinking the battery was possibly disconnected and this has led to the problem, or a software update has caused a glitch.
I assume this towbar is powered off the battery as it works without the engine being on, so how else would it be powered.
Dealer cant look at it for maybe a week or more, so I'm left hanging til then.
Any ideas? I dont believe in coincedences, so I think something done during the repairs has caused a problem.
The repair involved removing a bulkhead apparently and was over 2 hours labour to replace the hose, so must have been fairly involved.
Could a disconnected battery cause this?
Any thoughts appreciated.
