Volvo 04 V70 2.5T AWD Oil leak across driver side of engine
Hello everyone,
The slow oil leak from my 04 V70 seems to have recently got worse. The leak seems to be isolated on the drivers side though I am not sure if this is a leak from the turbo or the rear main seal (or somewhere else). Here are some pictures of the leak(s):

~6 months ago it was barely leaking any oil and wouldn't need to add any oil between changes.(though I did notice the turbo inlet was slightly wet). Now the oil seems to be leaking much faster. I have bought a PVC kit so I will be doing that job at the start of February when it arrives, however I am passing the glove test and no smoke comes out of the dipstick when the engine is hot so there doesn't seem to be pressure in there currently.
The only other thing I have noticed wrong with the car is that there is a erratic rattle noise that has gradually gotten worse which is only audible when idling or going over bumps. I thought it was just a bushing or heat shield so I haven't hunted it down but it seems weird that the rattle has gotten worse as the oil leak has gotten worse.
Is there any known methods to determine if it is a rear main seal vs a turbo leak?
I am not sure what could cause this leak to get worse if the PVC system seems to be okay. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
