Volvo 740 no compression on 3 cylinders
Hey! i just did a head gasket in my 1987 volvo 740 tic
It went really smoothly and it ran before, all i did was get the head resurfaced and a new headgasket, aswell as doing the hushers. When all was said and done i did the timing and everything lined up, but there was no compression on cylinders 1 2 3 but low compression on 4. im very confused because it ran before and the timing was 100% correct. any ideas.

I'd double check the timing marks for starters. I'm wondering if the cam gear was installed wrong - so I'd check the B end of the cam to see if there's a timing mark there as well. You may also have dry cylinder walls so you can try dropping about 1 tablespoon of motor oil down the spark plug hole to help build compression.
