Ive always wondered which is faster and so on. So i thought i would post since i have had both now. The turbos are not much different honestly, but even the little difference they are makes a difference. First i had a 96 850 turbo automatic. Played around with it. Boost set at 15 and it was peppy. Felt quick but not quick enough. Anyways long story short, i bought an s70 T5 with a manual transmission. All i have to say is this car is faster at 10 psi than the 850 turbo was at 15. Its amazing how much stonger the car feels. The 850 had less miles also. This S70 is not in as good shape as the 850 but im getting it there. Also MPG went up drastically. I know thats probably because i have a 5 speed now versus a 4spd auto.

Just wanted to post this since i know ive always wondered and no one really knew. I could never find good threads about this. S70 hands down a faster car with better mpg. Now if the S70 were auto probably not that good mpg.

Oh also both cars had the exact same mods. Nothing different other than transmissions and slightly larger turbo (15g vs 16t)
