Why did I get a Volvo? I needed a vehicle that gave good mileage, looked pretty, (yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and would not be percieved as an econobox. I found a 99 C70 coupe, on CL about 4 hours away from home but in my sales territory. The 20 something gal finally texted me after 10 days and asked if I was still interested. I forgot about it until she had texted me. I replied that I was in the area and would look at it that day. I met her listened to the car, heard her story, her dad bought it new, then gave it to her after he had refurbished the drivetrain. But she needed to set up housekeeping after a breakup. I told I've had "quirky" vehicles in the past, VW's, Audi's, Jeep pickups, Saab's etc, and the coupe qualified. I told her I would think about the coupe and let her know the next day. She texted me about 6 hours later and said I should buy her Volvo, as a 20 year old guy or teenager wouldnt appreciate and take care of her car. How could I refuse that, along with a nice drop in price?
The other factor, I have a Volvo salvage yard about 20 miles from me. I fell in love with the car as soon as I took delivery, I never drove it until I had purchased it. Quirky car and no regrets.

 

I have S80, 2002. it start when it is cold but after engine gets hot or second start, the ignition cranks but takes time to start. I changed teh crankshaft sensor . it was good for a while then back again the same problem.

any Idea, change teh crankshaft sensor twice and cam shaft sensor once, no changes.
