Oh you betcha it's someone we know. Only the most knowledgeable guys on the site. I've heard stories about him, some say he's not even human, he's half car.

You should know first hand. Wasn't there an "incident" a while back with you, him, and your car. People don't forget.

And, for the record, I do change my own oil. I have a friend (18 years old) who is one step away from being hired at Jiffy Lube. The same kid dropped a nut in his intake manifold and blew up TWO new engines in his Blazer. THAT is why I will never bring my car there.
airbags are very important in an accident. but what if your brakes could stop you from having that. does that mean you have to bring your car to the stealership to do your brakes... what about a balljoint...wiper blades...ect.

"All we know, is that he's called, The Stig" or...

"he's the most interesting man in the world"

:P That's what I immediately thought of

There are some things that I do, some I don't. Usually has something to do with risk and tools. I will say this... there are not many times that I did not have to go behind a mechanic and adjust/fix/request a review of something that was not fixed properly. I just had something repaired on my Jeep and when I popped the hood I seen that a few hoses were not put back in their brackets.

Always check behind your mechanic period. You are the one that will be on the road in the car.

You should seal the crack in your headlight first...
