Hi I am new to volvo! I am interested in purchasing an XC60. I do have a few concerns about the Sensus. Will Volvo ever make Apple Carplay full screen? the screen looks quite pixelated compared with other Carplays on my test drive, and the new IOS allows for full screen carplay. My second question is if the Sensus is laggy during boot up. I always prefered buttons instead of a touch screen since bootup time on alot of other cars take a while and heating/cooling features will be glitchy.

 

It all depends on apple, they are the ones responsible for Carplay screen sizes, that’s why in some BMW products, Carplay isn’t full screen. So no but also maybe.

 

Nah, this one's on Volvo. Carplay has been available in flexible screen sizes for quite awhile (as well as support for second screens, like the gauge cluster). Subaru has a portrait-mode orientation. Volvo is dragging its heels on this, and I'm not holding my breath.
