I have a really weird thing going on with my 2002 XC70.

The blue high beam indicator on the dash will not illuminate until the car has been driven/going for around 10 mins, and then it works absolutely fine. High beams are coming on at the headlights OK , its driving me bonkers!!

Any ideas please?

faulty bulb or dirty contacts on the instrument cluster for that bulb.

Replace bulb. This simple act should also clean the contacts enough to help.
