This should not be a difficult topic but it is. I have an 04 Volvo S60 and need power steering fluid. I look in my manual and it says ATF fluid. I have gone to 3 auto parts stores and they all tell me that I need pentoisin 11s or equivalent. I know that stuff is green butt the fluid in my power steering reservoir is reddish which leads me to believe they used ATF fluid. Should I just put ATF fluid in there or drain the whole system and put the other stuff in. Also how would you do that. I would really prefer the ATF fluid but I don't want to screw up the power steering pump and rack. What should I do?
