Default What Volvo would you recommend?

I am coming from a fast, tossable turbo 240sx and I am looking for a turn key daily driver that won't give me problems. I want something I can modify, play around with at a track on occassion and drive to work and school. I've considered the following and was wondering if there was a Volvo that might fit the bill.

-Integra GSR with full bolt ons, suspension and light wheels and good rubber
-Possibly an H22 97+ Prelude but not sure
-Considered an SC300 or SC400
-E30 318 or 325is

All of these above can offer a bunch of fun, good looks and dead nuts reliability at the same time. I am budgeting $6,000 MAX for the car and $4,000 down the road for mods if it is stock. Are there any specific Volvos that might fit the bill? Always loved the S60R but that is way out of my range.

A '06 V70R. You can also hunt down a '98 S70 T-5 Manual. That will set you back about $5k, then you can have it chipped to stage II or III.

How well do they handle? What would they make for power with bolt ons and reliability is big for me and don't know what these cars can take.

Cruise on over to www.TurboBricks.com or www.SwedeSpeed.com and read some of those guys mods. These are some of the best handling fwd cars made.

What about a pre 2004 s40? I saw a nice purple one but know nothing about them. Also a big factor is reliability and maintenance/repair costs. This needs to be a solid daily not a headache or money pit
