xc90 purchase
Welcome.
If you are thinking of buying a used XC90 be sure to see if there are any manufacture recalls for the car that you should be aware of.
The NHTSA compiles a list of all reported problems from car owners all over the country and if there is a defective part, they will release a recall with instructions on how and where to get it fixed. Some of these are free fixes, but be sure to check out the recall history of the cars you are interested in before you make your final decision.
XC90 had its fair share of problems in the past. There are some steering, windshield wiper, wheel and seatbelt issues on the 04' model.
Whatever dealer you get it from now should have those issues checked out by now. If not ask why and run. lol [8D]

I heard curtan years of the XC 90 have transmission proplems with the GM transmissions. I would do research to be safe. I bought a 99 S80 back in 2005 which also hasa GM transmissionwith 80k miles and the transmission failed at 114k miles and I had to replace it with a new one for $3500 plus tax. Back when I bought the car I did not know that they had transsmission problems, had I known that I would not have bought my 99 S80. So do some homework to be safe.
