Default Hey and help!

Hey! I looked through some of the archives. Wow lots of stuff but, Not as much on my 2002 s 60 T. I am sure you all know much more than myself with volvos, people around here wanted to mess with my wastegate, cold air intake, nitrous, all sorts of crap that they think I can do. Can you give my some legit options, on some threads it I am told not to get a boost gauge other I am, some say NOS, Some say ECU. What boost is it now or do you think I can put it up to? No one seems to be doing real mods around my area except to the people that have civics with like 8 inch exhausts that sound like weed eaters, (no offence) well a little.....Any help would be appreciated!!!

I really want to beat the rice burners around here!

Ok here you go...

SITES

Check these sites out for aftermarket products.

Other Issue's

1. If you want to monitor your boost and vaccum you will want a boost gauge. Autometer makes some nice ones and can be had at a good price from
http://www.egauges.com Also it is a good diagnostics tool to know if you are not making the propper boost in STOCK form and also not making the correct boost if your running higher boost. Also you can monitor for vaccum leaks as well. I don't know where you could mount yours as I don't believe there is a pod out yet or ever will be on for the s60's as I think there might be something in the A-pillar where the pod would mount that gets in the way like an airbag or something. HOWEVER GET A BOOST GAUGE, and be glad you did.

2. Do not do nitrous yet, wont really be worth it. IMO

3. You would want to look into a 3" mandrel bent downpipe, now some of the aftermarket companies sell them but are exspensive. I would go to a local muffler shop that can mandrel bend and have one made. Then route it back to a 2.5" catback system that is also mandrel bent with a free flowing CAT and muffler like Magnaflow. Magnaflow's sound awsome on Volvo's. A muffler like Flowmaster isn't good for our turboed cars as they have baffles in them and hinder our performance, so we want striaght through design for our turboed Volvo's.

4. ECU upgrades area good idea. You have a few companies to look from.

- http://www.speedtuningusa.com/ (Talk to Oliver)
- http://www.vivaperformance.com ( This is the U.S. RICA dealer)
- BSR, which EuroSportTuning now sells

5. There are no real CAI's for our cars. EST makes an intake kit which is nice but still lets in hot air into the intake which isn't good. A lot of people have the intake and like it. You could put a K&N panel filte in your car, but our cars use MAF which doesn't really like the oiled K&N filters that much. Youw ould just have to lightly oil it and clean your MAF and throttle body every once in a while. The stock airbox on our cars is the best setup, to be honest.

6. You can do a turbo upgrade to a bigger turbo. Like 16T which you may already have I don't know or to a 18T or 19T.

7. I bet your running anywhere from 5-10PSI for boost.
