RE: s80 T6
A full 3" mandrel bent system will be great. However do not use Flowmaster. You need a FREE Flowing straight through design muffler like a Magnaflow. Flowmaster mufflers use baffles which create backpressure. You don't want that in a turbo vehicle.
You will get great sound and some nice power. An ecu upgrade will only enhance the power gained from the 3" turboback system.

That's what it was, Magnaflow. Get them mixed up. You say an ECU would Improve it too? What would be one I could get but don't have to have mine shipped off or my car dyno tuned?

Also look into the IPD softloader and or the RICA softloader. RICA can be bought from Viva Performance and IPD's can be bought from IPD USA.

dont you think it would be better for a 3" downpipe to a 2.5" catback to a magnaflo? I've seen on a lot of sites how the 3inch going to a 2.5inch is a little better for the back pressure end.

if you live in the states you might want to check upsolute as well for an ecu tuning....most places you can go to and be out in an hour....

Then click on the link titled "Where to Buy".
However if you want really true no downtime and not having to drive some place then the BSR PPC and IPD/RICA softloaders are the way to go.

Hmmm, I'm in Pensacola and the closest two Upsolute dealers are in Miami and Atlanta, maybe with in 6 hours at the least. If it's worth the drive and better than the softloader chips, then I'll get some bigger turbos and the exhaust put on, then drive up and have them tune it. I know the new turbos will probably run me around 2500-4000 and I guess the tuning would be 700-900. Looks like a couple of months before any upgrades.
I'd like to go ahead and do the exhaust but I don't want performance lost on the lower range due to the loss of backpressure, so I might just wait. No sense in having it done twice anyway.
One more thing. I'm just wondering about this and all, and keep in mind I'm pretty young. I could have gotten an S70 T5 or this S80 T6, and as of now I'm thinking the S70 would have suited my tastes much better with it's 5 speed and wealth of aftermarket. I am considering not even putting money in to this hunk of steel and just saving up my money for the new Challenger. Suggestions?

Now if you plan to mod you s80 this is what I suggest. In this order.
1. STAGE ZERO. This can be found in the General Volvo area under the VolvoForums Resources thread.
2. Dyno your car and get a/f ratios. This will give you a good baseline of what you have to work with.
3. Turboback system. 3" downpipes to a 2.5" catback system. You can buy these already premade but they are extremely exspensive. Try a local muffler shop that can mandrel bend to make both parts for you. Also since your a T6 your turbo which means backpressure is bad. Turbo cars want to breath. Mandrel bends and a free flowing muffler like a Magnaflow are good ideas to help the car breath better.
4. Dyno your car again with a/f ratios. This will let you see what you have gained from the turboback upgrade.
5. Send that information to a tuner. IPD, RICA, Upsolute, SpeedTuning USA, Inmotion. Or get IPD/RICA or BSR PCC softloaders. I would still let them know what you have done to the car though.
6. After the ECU tuning is done dyno again and see what you have. You should have some good power.
