What are the laws on headers, intake, exhaust and cat converter in CA?

I just bought a c.a.r.b. legal intake from k&n. i want to know if i can get a ticket or get impounded with these kind of after-market parts that doesnt say its legal

C.A.R.B. legal means that it is okay to use in CA. because it has an executive order or "EO" number with the state proving that the part has no negative effect on emissions. As long as the part is listed as CARB legal, you should be fine with the CHP and smog technicians. Some are **** though and may try to give you a hard time even though you're legit.
