Bought this car 2 weeks ago with 154,000 miles drove it about 500 miles, inspected, registered it and everything. Now i go out to the car today it starts up easy as usual and as i backed up i noticed it was reading that the car was in park, get into drive and about a mile down the road.. Car seems to be lacking power ... I pull into a lot to restart it and it wont restart. Aaa arrives and battery tests say battery is good. Aaa guy wants to sell a starter job to his shop so he refused to disconnect battery to do a hard reset.. I dont have my tools because theyre at work so i have the car towed and tow guy thinks its a tranny sensor issue.. When i search the forums i dont see any tranny problems linked to starting issues. I suspect i need a software update or new module somewhere. Ive also seen some stuff about immobilizers?? Any ideas?
