1991 Volvo 740 wagon fan motor
I have read every forum thread concerning removal of the fan motor on 1991/1992 740s and 940s. I have NO idea why NONE of those threads have any bearing on the fan motor removal on MY car. They say, "No problem. Drop the glove box & upper panel & remove the motor". Really? When I do this, all I see is a huge assembly of black plastic that apparently has a motor in there somewhere, along with all the hard plastic ductwork. I have NO idea as to how to move forward in disconnecting the mess in front of me so t6hat I can get to the fan motor. Any help from ANYONE out there that knows what I'm talking about is most appreciated. Thank you all. Ric Lang

Well, you remove the under glove box panel, remove the glove box. Then the 'huge black plastic' assembly has screws, 3 or 4, I believe holding it to the top part. Remove those and the thing should drop, there is an electric plug you'll need to disconnected before or after the removal. Can't be more specific...
