going to Asia so i found a 98 s40 over there with a 1.8L , manual trans car. The guy said the ECU is bad so it wont run. Is there an interchange on them or are the specific to the car? Seems not alot of 1.8L here in the states. The car is straight and low miles so i thought if i could buy it cheap and take an ecu with me and install it then the family would have a safe care cheap.
Does anyone have any knowledge on these ecu issues? Thanks, Mike
