In the past month I've put myself back into moose land and bought a 1987 240DL on a steal **Asking price was $700.00, final negotiated price came down to $325.00**.

Before this I owned a 1971 142s that, unfortunately, was destined to the pick-n-pull lot before I even got my hands on it. Long story short the engine was trashed (something I found out after I bought the vehicle) and it was a short couple weeks drive/light mechanical work to try and salvage what was there before it met it's day.

This buy is looking more promising, needing a definite overhaul of it's fuel system and overall care it started not doing anything more than turning over and is now getting fuel to the injectors and just short of a full start.
