2005 volvo 2.5 turbo no oil pressure
Hello I have a 2005 volvo 2.5 turbo i put a new timing belt and oil pump gasket and seals put it together now I have light on dash no oil pressure and red oil light is on could it be a pressure valve ?
I'm not a mechanic, but am good at fixing things of all types. Would rather do it myself than pay someone else, provided I have the knowledge and tools to do the job. With this said, since you stated you replaced the timing belt, this indicates (hopefully) that you have more-than-average DIY skills. Chatgpt is a wonderful thing. It is just another data source which may or may not help, IMO. Try entering this question in Chatgpt and see if it helps you to diagnose your car's issue: "My 2005 Volvo 2.5 turbo does show any oil pressure after I replaced the timing belt and turbo. What might be the cause?" In terms of problem-solving your issue, I'd suggest doing the least invasive things first. Sounds like either something wasn't reconnected properly, a senor or sensor wire was disturbed (both are common DIY results) or something in the oil delivery process is blocked. Good luck with this!
