oil pump

I would like for my 95 850 to continue to run for a long time. I would like to know how I would know if I need a new oil pump?

Low oil pressure i would imagine, or maybe if it got too noisy.

Check the oil pressure and make sure it is at the proper pressure.
The oil light should come on if the oil pressure drops to much.
