My 2005 XC 90 has a message "Alarm System Needs Servicing". I decided to spend the money a buy a factory new alarm module and installed it under the passenger side front fender well.
The message light still comes on and will not reset.
I have taken the car to the Volvo dealer and they said the message should have gone out with the new module. They now want more big bucks to hook up a computer to isolate the problem in addition to more money to fix it once they find the problem.
The sun roof works and all fuses seem to be good. Just an annoying message that constantly stays on.
Any suggestions as to what else I can check? If I can't trace the problem is there any way to shut the alarm completely off without effecting anything else?
