Joined the forum because I need some help with some accessories I want to add and to gain from the wealth of knowledge on the site. Already found some great ideas and answers.

I'm in the LA Metro area at present but might be moving to Florida soon. Looking for all the parts I need to add the tow hitch wiring and software to my Volvo which already has the after market Curt Hitch I got from amazon warehouse dirt cheap.

Any suggestions?

 

Do you have the hitch installed yet? I used etrailer.com for my wife's Highlander for both parts (went with Curt) and a wiring kit (specific to the Toyota which was a breeze). They have a lot of online content specific to your model so that's a good place to start. You should also consult your owners manual (to see if there's a fuse to be installed etc) and I'd even talk to the dealer to get some info on what they'd install.

 

Yes Sir, got an Curt Trailer hitch from Amazon warehouse really cheap because it had a scratch. Just resprayed it with some glossy black paint on the scratch and it looked like new. Actually wondering about the wiring since I would also have to do a software update so the system doesn't go crazy detecting a vehicle behind me when I am backing up with the trailer. The software detects the hitch connection apparently. Anyone know what parts I need to order.
