2017 XC 90 D5 Injector Control Pressure too low
Hi Guys,
I have 2017 XC 90 D5. I was really delighted with the car until the engine cut out on the road a month ago. After cutting out the engine was turning over but failed to start after that. It has been in the main dealers since. The diagnostics computer in the show "Injector Control Pressure too low. *About 2 days prior to problem arising I noticed a very minor vibration/ struggle when the car was cruising at about 1500 RPM. It was enough that I noticed it but not enough to really effect the driving or cause me concern. No unusual engine sound.
2 Injectors were thought to be at fault but when replaced, the fault persisted. The other 2 injectors are now being replaced.
Question:
1. Could all 4 injectors suddenly fail in a car with relatively low mileage of this age?
2. Is the car cutting out at 50mpg symptomatic of injector problems.
3. A non volvo mechanic (but highly regarded) suspects its no injectors but the fuel pump.
Any ideas/ views?
All help appreciated

I´ve plugged in the diagnostics module on and code P2290 showed up...... So I´ve ordered car to the dealer in couple days to check it via VIDA original software... But I will never let them change the injector itself, as all 4 of them must byt perfect in my oppinion. Wrong injector just doesnt die suddenly in a sec with the whole engine, some vibration on start must be present.
So IMHO the Fuel pressure sensor can be defected (or stucked) in this case... or the Fuel pump, but this should be code for rail pressure.. I hope I will be right and all injectors will stay on their place

PS: I wonder if the car which can actually pilot itself and talk with the driver cannot just show exactly which injector can be defected?! So the dealer must try them all
Hello, I´ve got exactly the same problem with my V90 D5 2018 with 160.000 kms, it left me suddenly with engine stalling on the road during 90 km/h speed run without any warning.... and sure without possibility to start again! Just cranking...
