i bought an 850 wagon with turbo over a year ago with a 120,000 miles. I've come to love this car. the grand kids call it the brick because of its faded red paint and shape.
I know a fellow with a 98 v70 wagon that no longer runs, but does have a very nice luggage rack on it. He says it wont fit on my 850, when I look at the lines along the roof
they look identical to my Volvo, many of the interior parts like the door panels, look to me to be the same as mine.
If any of you have information about switching parts between these 2 cars Id like to hear about it. Thanks

 

This may help: I had a 2003 V70. I know that the load bars for the '01 - '07 models are specific to those years. There were mounting points in the rain gutters and the bars were marked F/R and R/L Look for something similar on yours and the '98 rack.
