Sup guys. I recently bought my first car, a white 1988 240 DL Sedan, with 160k. I've always liked Volvos, but don't know very much about cars, and I had the opportunity to buy this for cheap. It runs fine, is my first manual, and the interior is nearly perfectly pristine. However, after buying it, I realized the brake pads and calipers were shot, I still have to get new capilers.

Its old though, which I hope won't screw me over. But I have a lot of respect for quality mechanics; My other ride is a 1976 Puch moped, which I love and serves as my daily driver until I can put new calipers on the 240, to show the kind of person I am.

Anyway, the time I've spent driving it has been a blast so far. I love the no-nonsense design, the solid construction, and it seems to be great fun to drive. I hope I can get a good amount more time out of this car.

Fun to drive? Really, lol.

Calipers and pads should be real easy for you.
