RE: Tail light Failure 240DL Sedan?
Also for everyone reading this about once every 6 months remove all the fuses from the fuse box.Clean the contacts on both sides or they build up corrosion and intermittently lose connection causing electrical problems. And on the tail lights after cleaning contacts carefully bent the tabs on the socket to make it fit better and make a good connection.

Just replaced the circuit board on the RH tail light hopeing that the brake light would work. No luck? Both brake lights work without headlights on but RH side (Brake light) doesn't light up with the headlights on and brake pedal is depressed. I noticed the safety light in the rear window had a blown bulb too. Could the circuit to the RH brake light be affected by that safety warning light? ?Puzzeled.

I would make sure you put all your ground wires back on when you reinstalled the taillight. Is the connector very clean. The only other thing I would be able to guess after that would be your bulb failure sensor.I don't think the 3rd brake light would effect the r/s brake light. You could also check the wiring at the plug with a test light and see if the same thing happens with the taillight unplugged.
