Hi,
I just got a 2000 Volvo V70 GLT automatic (it has around 120,000 km) couple week ago at a very good price and all I can say that this car is NICE. The body is in perfect condition, fully loaded, very clean and the enginee is still nice and quiet - no problem what ever running in sub zero temperature. It was such a step up from my old 1995 Camry (with around 370,000 km and is still running well but had to get rid of it for the Volvo). Today I did the enginee oil change, spark plugs, thermostat and air filter; my next projects are to do coolant flush and tranmission oil flush. I was totally surprise of how easy to change the thermostat on this car, very little spilage of coolant compared to Toyota (due to the vertical position of the thermostat instead of side way). The timing belt is still new with only around 20,000 km so I probaby don't need to worry about this for a few years.
There are only 2 minor issues:
1) Buttons on the right side and the bottom row 6 buttons of the CD/Radio is not light up at night. Left side buttons are ok.
2) Shift selector indicator (P,R,N,D,3,2,1) is not light up either. Must be a couple of lights burned out but how can I fix this.
I don't know much about this car so any advise of what else should I need to know about this car would greatly appreciated. By the way, is there any "link" that I can download the user manual for this particular year and model.
